This weekend Wodige Digatoli and I decided to add a cooking rack to our fire pit. Around our place we call the equa vdali (Ay-kwa uh-da-lee/Big Lake)we use what we have. We try to not let things go to waste. First we cut two forked saplings and place on either side of the fire pit. Then I took the metal from a couple of folding camping chairs to use for the cross bar to hang our dutch oven or the meat and vegetable net. Then I took the metal tubes from the folding chairs and cut different lengths for our holding hooks. Once this was done we fired up the pit and heated the metal and I proceeded to make the hanging hooks. Now They are not as pretty as the ones you buy in the store but they work and are hand made. After putting all this together we just had to try it out, was one of the best pot of beans we have had in a long time cooked over the open fire pit. Enjoy Wado for stopping by. Cherokee762
